Purpose

Legacy of Defeat is about the cycle that we live day to day in our careers. It's about the concept of not having a true voice or being known in a market that desires consistent change and understanding. As trends come and go, many faceless designers are easily forgotten and their craft which takes so much passion is left to rot season by season because once the art is produced, it's used and forgotten. We live this day to day being defeated by the need for everlasting change. The goal of this project is to give voices and bring back the work that has been forgotten about. To give credit where credit is due. This is the goal that Legacy of Defeat strives for.

Many of the best designers in various industries are revolutionizing concepts and ideas on a season basis. But no one truly knows who these people are. From snowboarding to apparel to freelance to actions sports, these people create beauty that only has a seasonal shelf life. From this point forward, Legacy of Defeat hopes to catalog these former pieces of passion that is clicked, scribbled or painted on to a medium that is bought and sold to make a brand feel as if it is in the 'know' of trend, when really, it's designers like us who formulate the success and dreams of those who own these different brands.
